put the small 750 back on, changed nothing else, and today i ran:

10.59
10.50
10.49
10.52 (lifted)
10.55 (lifted)
10.48

no idea why, but it seems to like this smaller carb better. DA was worse today, hovered around 1500'. Ran with the Pro Stick (east coast stick shift bracket org) and had a blast. i'll never go back to an auto. i made it to the 3rd round today where i went way red as the car tried to roll the beams on me. Also, the headlight covers are worth NOTHING. i ran the same mph (actually a little better today at 131.8 was my best) without the covers. i messed them up this week so i opted to take them off...was basically wasted effort, lol.

What did you have to do to get the T56 to hold up to that?

Nice runs!! Speedtrigger idk about him but my t56 is stock. Launch at 6k plus and has held up over a hundred passes and nitrous soon so going to see if it will handle the extra torque. Wish me luck lol.

Nice Matt, your car is a reason I stick with my pro form, not the first time you showed to be faster with it.

My t56 was stock launching at 6-7k, blew 2nd one time, found it was rebuilt with a new 2nd gear slider but no new 2nd. Cost me 500$ in parts and 500$ in labor to get it to the 750 hp package.

it's funny, cause it's not even really a proform carb...it's a stock 2 idle circuit holley with a proform center, lol

You won't see me laughing. I upgraded an old 650 (4777) I had laying around and it outran a high dollar Pro Systems 750. Those older metering plates can have a really nice emulsion package compared to the newer units. You just have to make sure you have the right HSBs to go with them. The other caveat with running the new HP style stuff with the old 2 idle circuits is that a lot of the aftermarket billet baseplates they sell do not have the transfer channels to make the idle circuits work properly. So, just look out for that if you upgrade to a billet baseplate.

if you read through the whole thread, i lost 200+ lbs out of the car over the winter, and i am now spinning the motor a little higher. i believe that with an even higher shift point, i may be able to eek out 133ish.

I'll give it a shot to try and match your 1/8th mile times, but I don't think I'll get that Mph NA, lol. Maybe a head swap.

Thinking the smaller carb is better suited to off and on throttle condition between shifts with the manual trans.

cool. we have close-ish combos with me having an edge on heads and you having an edge with a few cubes. i've only tried 31* from 2500 up so far. i wasnt sure how much timing the engine would take at 11.3ish compression. the timing these carbed combos take have me scratching my head. i've never had to go over 28* on any efi combo i've had in the past.

yeah, carb LOVES timing, i've tried all the way to 38*, but saw no gains and thought i heard rattling so i pulled it back down. i have no signs of detonation and mine is run on the cat-**** we have for 93 octane here.

on another note, i've been looking into this some. does anyone have an opinion on this?
