According to Edelbrock the LS1 super victor pad height is 6.07" and I can't see the L92 Victor Jr being that much different in height.

Awesome, be good to see what the overall height is with it sitting on a bench.

I don't have a motor handy to check the actual fitted height of the Vic Jr just yet, but would be close enough to work out the height difference with the Jr measuring around 5.90" sitting on a flat surface.

All day long.

You have an Ed Curtis cam correct? If so you have a great valve train set-up, Ed knows what he is doing.

You don't need a lot of spring pressure to control stock rockers.

I used to turn my old cam only motor 7400rpm with LSL intake and exhaust lobes and stock rockers. No issues. I have customers turning much higher rpm than mentioned here, it just takes the right set-up and it's not even fancy parts that make or break it. It's how you go about setting the spring kit, installed height, preload and which push rods you use among MANY other things. Lobe design, lifter design, weight of the valve train components etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

Yep, Ed Curtis cam here. Thanks Martin. I kind of had the same thoughts. I might have to look into this.

They wont hit vendors till middle of this month. Jegs wont ship out till the 2nd of the new year and Summit won't ship out until the 30th of this year.

It's at PRI right now.

Yeah fair enough, can't wait for more info/photos etc, and hopefully some correct part numbers to surface! Can't decide whether to port the new Victor Jr which I already have, or try move it and buy a super victor when they become readily available.

Ive been hearing mutterings of the same myself.

While Summit and Jegs are optimistic towards their dates they tell customers, I dont want to take money from any a customer if I didnt have a pretty firm ETA.

I will be hammering on Edelbrock after the New Year (they closed today through next week)

Im trying to get the first orders in for a bunch but they arent even in Edelbrocks system yet. I will be one of the first places to have them though, and I will post once I have some info.

Mike
