I have the analog style from aem. Awesome gauge. Way less ricer than a digital one. I know alot of people use the lm-1 since it has recording.... I think anyways

im switching to my fast ez efi 2.0 and that has a monitor that shows your afr and stuff so that should be cool to use.

Hmm. Does that setup not come with the handheld? Im getting the LS EZ EFI 2.0 and it has all the sensor gauges on it. But I also understand you wanting to use a standard gauge.

AEM analog here. Works fine. I bought it because it was inexpensive, simple, and easy to install.

Same guage here. Very nice, good customer service too. Hard to get a good read at idle with open pipes.

I have an LM2. Multiple car mag tests show it to be the most accurate and fastest responding unit.

the LM2 does data recording and comes with the built in RPM sensor. RPM is almost essential for analyzing the recordings. it can drive an external gauge and has multiple AUX channels for recording other sensors (like MAP, carb throttle position sensor, etc).

The unit works well. It can be a little quirky and my early model only likes certain brands of SD cards. Cabling is kind of bulky, not sure how one could mount it permanently. so if you want a permanent gauge then figure out how you can mount the box before you buy. In my experience watching the gauge while going WTFO isn't very productive. Much better to record the trace and look at it afterwards.

The software that comes with it is very capable. A bit of a learning curve if you really want to get everything out of it.

the unit also has a full OBDII scanner and recorder. The interface is less than useful, I had better luck with a Torque app on a smart phone.

I got the innovate 3844 mtx-L. This is the first a/f gauge I have ever had. I dont know how I got along with out it. There are several out there, just have to figure what you want out of it. This one fit the bill for me for just basic monitoring and tuning. You wont regret buying one. I can data log down the road with more stuff if I decide to.

Thanks for the input fellas!

Gonna order tomorrow.

Next question, where are you installing the o2 sensor? With mid length headers I don't really have access to use the collector. And my exhaust has no crossover.

Innovate says to out them in the upper half of the exhaust pipe so condensate doesn't hit the sensor. Basically 10 to 2 o'clock positions. You don't want/need widebands too close to the exhaust port. They can actually overheat. Just put it anywhere near your collector. Not having a cross over doesn't matter. Some guys use dual widebands, one on each side, but not sure what they do if the two read differently.

I have the Innovate LM-1, I've used it to set up
rods and jets on my Edelbrock carb with the sensor
pushed way up the tailpipe and held in with a coat
hanger.

I went with the aem UEGO based on feedback on this forum and over on ar15.com

Both products (aem and innovate) get great reviews, I chose the aem based on it's reported ease of installation

I can't review the other previously mentioned. We data log through HP Tuners with an AFX Ngk sensor. Great wideband as recommended by Ed Hutchings but clearly not cheapest.
