I made about 6-8 passes on a 175 jet, and 20-22 on the bigger jet.

Compression test and leak down after every track date, same numbers every time.
5000rpm on the 2step, all in on the release of the trans-brake no progressive controller used, shift at 7000-7200rpm, 7400-7500rpm at the stripe.

I would not be so quick to call it an anomaly. Maybe an exceptional example, but these engines can run that number at his weight on a 93 jet when everything is well sorted out.

Haha I had to laugh at this, as it's the same reaction I get when I run similar numbers to cars with fully built motors/forged this/solid roller that/high compression/etc etc etc.
It's ok I take no offence to my well put together combo.

Below is the video, and this season it will have a moly cage to replace the 12 year old dated 6point DOM steel roll bar and weigh 150lbs less.
Unfortunately the results won't be nice for the ego's of the luddites in the drag racing world.

Sorry.....but not really.

I wouldn't waste my time and money porting ls3 head for only 615 lift. From factory with 2.165 intake valve will flow ~310-315 cfm @600 lift

Very delicate intake when you have only 6.0 because they are soo big. If you had monster cam or bigger cubes, then porting would benefit

my friend told me to use this cam that he has in his 6.0 his has square port heads 231/247@.050 .617/.624 on 110 ctr mine has cathedral heads but found ls3 heads fully ported complete valves, springs etc on sd parts for a good price or stay with 317 heads that came with the motor and also run nos 150-200 hp

I would use the square ports if they are a good deal. Better than the 317s for sure.

That sounds like a good setup. Just keep an eye on your valve clearance.

He ^^^ knows. His combo works as good as any mild 6.0 out there.

Ported LS3s are a lot of head for a 364 inch motor. I have seen a 500 cube LS2 based motor with ported LS3s (school of automotive machinists build)
