Yes. That is part of the new driveshaft build. I am finding week links that I did not know I had. LOL The good news is that I will be read to go stick shift if I choose to.

Thats pretty wild that the yoke twisted instead of breaking your old 10 bolt.

Well, we actually broke that too. LOL That is the reason for the S60.

PST is building the driveshaft. I would LOVE a carbon fiber, but I don't love the price tag.

Speaking of driveshafts, the 8.8 for my 02 SS came with a DS, was supposed to be for a 80, but it's stock 4L60/T56 length. So I should be solid for the 8.8 swap this weekend.

OK, looks like the track has a lot going on (Cecil County Dragway)
Ssssoooooo, I'm going to try to slip up there on Wednesday May 6 or 13 work and weather dependent
I could go South to Capital or MIR (Capital is the closer of the two) but with all this BS in Baltimore going on and tolls if I took I-95/I-895...just to make a pass or 3 and to get the boot for going too fast (I HOPE ) I would rather just sneak up to Cecil.
I have a 4-point bar right now, and have already been warned before at Cecil (11.32), but have a door bar being made right now that will make me legal to 10.0s and I won't have to worry anymore.....until I spray it anyway

Fingers crossed that this converter does what we all hope in the other post.

Go on the west side of the loop (695) to avoid the tolls. Adds about 20 mins but worth it to avoid the 32 dollars in tolls.

Well, the ol' girl is locked and loaded, ready for Wednesday :crossedfingers:
Sixtoes1313 heard some rumbling in the neighborhood and swung by on his way home from his parent who live around the corner from me.

Full tank of 93, laptop on charge, getting nervous....I do every time

they found my truck...and totaled it. it was used to run illegals back and forth across the border. it's muddy and disgusting, but I didn't see any major body damage in the pictures. I may buy it back depending on what geico wants for it.

what was the cause for a total then? "extreme dirtiness"?

I guess so. the agent stopped the estimate at 8,500. the interior was NASTY. it's been across fields. it's hard to tell from pics, but maybe the mesquite trees in S texas chewed up the paint? the removed the rear seats, removed the bed liner. broke a few interior items. hoping I can buy it back. I just bought a new Avalon in December and don't want to jump into another car note.

Not very good news, but at least you won't have to wonder forever what happened to it. I hope it works out for you with the insurance.

buttoned up a few things with the car over the weekend and took it out yesterday. It feels good, drives a lot better with the MT S/R radials on the front than it did with my old 165/80 skinnies. I bumped up to an .035 idle feed restrictor over the winter but I still have an ever so slight cracked throttle lean spot. Its hardly noticeable and I think I can kill it with air bleeds. It was a long hard winter here and it felt really good to drive it again.

Swapped a 8.8 "bolt in" rear to the 2002 SS, as usual, with the new suspension, not a man thing seems to simply bolt on. Wouldn't be right if it did....lol
