^ I'm with him man. It looks great. Stealthing out the aluminum drums made a difference too.

Thanx guys. Good eye on the drums. I painted them with plasti-dip in case I did not like them blacked out. But I think it looks better too.

Yeah man. Everytime I get in the car now, I smile.

Next I am tempted to try some of the Pros next time around. I understand the wear out quicker and suck to the next level in rain, but they are supposed to hook notably better.

i thought about the pros, but i'd hate to get caught in the rain with them. i also saw a thread where a M/T rep said to not worry about the pro until around 1,500 HP.

If you're dead hooking now... no need to worry about it.
Now also, when the Pro's came out, they set all kinds of new records in X275

I know, I know.... I'm not helping

What you may not know is, I am only leaving at 15% on the progressive at a leisurely 1.42 60' time. What if I hit it with more and brought it in faster?

Well....lets sneak up on it and she what she'll take

How fast is the ramp ?

I do know with this LS motor in my car it's hooking harder....maybe its the weight off the nose or just making more power....nothing else really changed.

I leave on....100%. Lol

And hopefully things will shine when the Trans is fixed. 1.55 NA 60 was sad for 3000lbs with me in the seat. Only hit a 1.37 60 one time on gas, so it will be great to get it to 1.2x on the dope. Pretty sure I'll need limiters.

We didn't know what the random main body would do, of I had the cash I would have swapped it at the time.

My 200k mile 4L80 in my TA is holding fine. Fine me a 4L60 or 65 with 200k that would hold my abuse. Mine still has stock hard parts in the mustang. But going to change some of them as well. Still a drop in the bucket to all the cash in that 65.

I have the pro's now. I like them, they hook good, but will swap back to Hoosiers. The pros are wearing great, but Hoosiers are lighter and wear the same as pros. Going for a new best 60 this weekend at nmra beech bend. Gonna run 1/4 mile baby!!!!!

Got the FLT lvl7 core for 1k. couldnt pass it. added the trans brake, deep pan, clutches and a couple more billet parts. it's not cheap to try and make an old pickup keep up with a mustang racecar.

Lol, you have all the RACECAR parts on your racetruck. I run 87 octane and have stock heads. I only wish I could have all the big money you got in your truck. Would turn 5.9s NA I'm sure!

Which Hoosiers? Do that have that same lame message on the sidewall that says: Not intended for highway use?
