Default 241 heads

I'm new to the ls game and have a question. I searched this but couldn't find an answer. Someone I know has a set of 241 heads for sale that I'm thinking about buying for my lq4 6.0. I'm planning on keeping the truck n/a and it will be a weekend cruiser and take it to the track every once in a while. Are these heads any good unported or do they have to be ported to make decent power? I was looking to make around 4-450. This is going in my 67 c10 with a victor jr intake carbureted. Not sure what cam I'm using yet either. Thanks in advance!

Mine made 380ish at the crank on a stock vette ls1 with carb and lth. I have a second set of 241s complete with valves, springs and rockers for 200 if anyone is interested. I had my first set ported by AI and they're on a 450 rwhp ) NA LS2 now.

A cam and 241 heads with a carb will make 450 at the flywheel. 317s that come on the 6.0 will make more because they flow 25-30 more CFM but have a larger chamber so torque production is down not enough to tell.

My 2009 and 2008 4.8 had 243s. They started using 243 and 799s in 2007 up. Figure the price of them would be dropping more by now but 400$ is the going rate for a pair still.
