you didn't miss it, i just haven't decided yet, lol. i will first attempt to see how it looks like "hidden", kind of poking underneath the fender. if that obviously won't work, or won't work like i'm thinking, i'll go out the front fender, somewhere under the turn signal.

gotta go backwards to go forwards, right? feels like i'm only going backwards though old girl looks rough right now. i did base/clear on this engine bay back in 2008. 5 motors since then has been tough on her. i want to paint it, but it's not in the cards this winter.

It's nice to see someone that is actually doing something besides buying parts bolting everything together. Looks good.

and, a preview of easily the biggest controversial topic i've ever done with my car, lol! haters can kiss my foot, i think this is awesome.

I think it would be cool if you could dump it out behind the fender, aiming at the ground

yeah, i have WAY too much stuff tucked in that corner. all my hydraulics for my clutch and brakes are over there. i'd have to revamp all that.

What is the controversy? I have seen tons of racecars with exhaust like that. It is not like it is a street car.

Looks great...and I agree with rebuilding a rear under the car......SUCKS !!!!
For the little bit of time it takes to pull it Vs. all the aggravation working off the floor under the car.....'nuff said

agreed, way easier to deal with. here's the biggest reasons why i wanted to pull it too: welded the fill plug on, got the brake line tabs welded on, and made a proper mount for the chassis to axle hose (it was just dancing in space before, lol!)

will try to build the hardlines tonight after work. prepping to be able to paint it tomorrow hopefully. Also, the mid plate finally showed up mid-plate and blocksaver plate in one!

this weekend was BUSY. i cleaned the rearend up and painted it, pulled the tank to put a proper vent in it, installed the mid plate, and decided to take more weight out :p i probably just made my life way more complicated as now i have to spend some time fabbing up the radiator support with necessary mounts and tabs for all the stuff to attach to. I actually have a little time to kill though, cause turns out the pinion support i have will NOT work with the 35 spline pinion thankfully, i found a NOS Strange N1922 for $98 shipped on ebay, so i scooped it up before someone else did. since the rear gears aren't going in yet, i'm stalled on the axle reassembly . anyway, here's the pictures from this weekend:

hammertone black turned out FANTASTIC

the mid plate needs to be bent to go with the firewall on the driver's side. i didn't have a brake to bend it with, so i improvised

seems to work well!

and all wrapped up

and here's the car as it sits. radiator support to materialize by mid week

my list is diminishing, but still a long ways to go.

This thing is turning into a well set up racecar.

i'm coming to grips with that notion....i just hope at first glance, you might be tricked into thinking it's a well set up stracecar :p

fact is, i'm way happier racing it than street driving it.

and tigger, i have something for a cruiser you may not be aware of...hoping to start making strides on this soon:

That's how I am, happier racing it or a little street action.
