Default Quick fuel 680 vs help !!!

Got every thing back together and fired it up . I am so rich at idle you cant stand it . Tore it down reset every thing and still way to rich . I started it for the first time with pill #1 . Today after going through the carb I changed to pill #6 and still to rich .
#1 Should I change the air bleed it has #70 in there now .

#2 Drill the butterfly's

I have been reading a lot about Quick Fuel on other forums and every one I read that had this kind of problem but no one seemed to follow through and fix the problem .

Did you try replacing the power valve? Also, how many turns out are the idle mixture screws? Are there 2 screws or four?

does it not have idle mixture screws? I don't drill the blades to lean it up at idle.

throw the pills away and set a custom timing map. the pills keep the timing too low IMO

Some engines require a larger volume of air than can be supplied through the idle circuits without exposing too much of the transfer slot. That is why the new Ultras from Holley have the new bleed screw. However, I doubt that is the case in the OPs situation.

speedtigger Only pulling 5 on the vacuum gauge so I added 2.5 power valves . Also 1 full turn on all 4 mixture screws .

TXsilverado Waiting on my adapter to plug into my laptop . Pill #6 is 800 RPM *20 I would think that should be enough .

5"? How much camshaft is in this engine?

Also, as you turn the idle mixture screws in or closed, it will lean out the idle. Have you tried this?

the idle feed restictors are a hair big on my quick fuel which makes the idle screws hyper sensitive. I think I only have my idle screws backed out 1/2 turn on all 4 corners to get a 13.5 AFR idle.

I recommend that you get a wideband to tune along with your vacuum gauge. before changing anything, work the idle mixture screws. if the idle mixture screws are hyper sensitive, and the off idle tip in goes super rich I would think you need smaller idle feed restrictors. don't change anything blind though.
