Questions on truck build...
Not been on here for a while so I will repost what I am working on....
2000 Chevy RCSB 2wd
Stock LQ9 with ARP rod bolts
235/242 .620/.593 109+2 w/ pushrods and springs
Vic Jr carb intake
1-7/8 longtubes thru 3" and bullets
TH400 w/ rev man valve body, Jake's trans kit, transbrake, and 4000 stall
(going in soon)Ford 9", locker, and 3.90 gear, ladder bars, and coilovers
325/50R15 M/T ET Streets
I have the truck down to 3656lbs and should drop with losing the leaf springs. The truck is going on the bottle around 175 shot after I work up to it. So far I have tried a Demon 820 annular and never could get past the transition into the secondaries. I kept jetting down until I gave up and put on a Demon 750. Now the truck feels like it is bottlenecked. I'm guessing the 820 was junk and the 750 is just too small. I need carb advice before I make another purchase. I keep reading all the profiles with guys running 850 to 950cfm carbs and want to make the right choice for an all out race truck.
On top of that, I didn't do enough research when I bought the Edelbrock 2908 intake kit with the non-programmable ignition controller and am now in search of a decent controller that I can adjust and program myself. The catch is that my truck is destined for an 88mm turbo in a season or two and I would like to get a controller for ignition and EFI. I hate to get a 6010 from MSD and then ditch it when I go injected. What are the thoughts on the MicroSquirt? Could I run it for now just for ignition and program in fuel later? Can the MicroSquirt pull timing for nitrous? Does it have any function for launch control/2 step? Need some opinions...
Thanks!

Sounds close to my combo, and I have a 780 from Pro Systems. The 750 should be fine. Chances are the "bottle neck" your feeling is from the jacked up timing curves they supply with the edelbrock box IMHO. Timing made WAY more difference than anything else I changed at the track. Eric L

Wouldn't hesitate to put an 850 Quick Fuel carb on any 6.0 motor, unless it was a very mild cam with a dual plane intake then I would consider a 750 carb.
5.3 would go with 650 carb and 5.7 would go with a 750 carb.
