Map Me a timing curve!
2003 5.3l, Iron block, stock heads, LS6 Cam & Blue Ls6 Valve springs. Single plane intake, Speed Demon 850cfm converted to blow through, 76mm Turbo. Running the MSD 6010 Box and a 2 bar Map Sensor.
Can anyone point me in the direction of where my timing should be set at? Not having any luck with the pills, got it driveable by playing with the pro-data software a bit. The combo is in front of a powerglide with a stock converter from a 68 camaro, in a mostly gutted 87 Mustang Notchback.

set the timing at around 14 up until around 2000 rpm, then go to 24.
its a soft setup to start, but will give you an idea of whether or not the engine has a bit of a medium acceleration to it and acts like it wants more timing. you can play with it from there by going up 2 degrees at a time from 2000 on.
How much boost are you making?
I ran 34 degrees flat all the way to 5400 rpm on my stock 5.3 with nitrous and never burnt a plug or had any issues with misfire. I only had a max rom of 6200 though, and from 54 to 62 I dropped 4 degrees of timing.
But that was on nitrous, not a turbo motor.
