Will the CID LS7 intake fit under 6"Hood on Fox???
Doing some research and was wondering if anyone has tried or if anyone knows if it will fit without a scoop of any kind??? It may be going in 89 Fox with around a 9.2ish deck??? Thanks for any input

I have a brand new large plenum one still in the box. I believe it's 1 inch taller than a super vic. I will measure of them both when I get home, if you want. Not sure if that will help you. We decided not to go to a LS7, so it's never been bolted to anything. Its for sale. If your interested, PM me.

I measured the Super Victor and the CID last night. If you set them on a table or whatever flat. And measure from the flat surface to the pad for the carb to set on. The Super Vic is 6.5 inches and the CID is 8.5 inches.

That's why I went with the Holley, it's 5.5 only intake that would fit under my flat hood. (Mustang) I know I'm giving up some hp with the lower height. I remember a 2" spacer on most SBC intakes back in the day where worth as much as 22 hp easily on the engine Dyno

The CID plenum is quite large, almost like having a spacer already installed. The near equal length runner straightened out the AFR issue I was having with the Mast, O2 sensors in tubes 2 and 5, long runner and short. I was seeing almost a 1.5 variance in rich to lean, #2 being the lean cyl. I have to jet to make the lean one happy and was way rich on #5. In the 1 pass I made last Saturday, the AFR for the majority of the run was maybe .5 variance between the same two cyl. Transmission issues sent home before more testing could be done.

The CID intake is quite impressive to say the least. The one we have was set up to either run a Braswell big bore Dominator or a Accufab 8500 throttle body. Huge plenum. Stock they come with a 4"plenum. Ours is 5.5". We were building a Ls7 but things came up. Still might later on. But I got to say. A big block is looking way more appealing. That is if you want to be 850+hp on motor running pump gas. And 10:1 compression. You just can't do it with a LS.
