Default Carbed 5.3 problem

I have a carbed 5.3 nothing special msd 6010 box, holley 750 double pumper, edelbrock victor jr intake for fuel injection with the injector ports plugged off, mostly stock except going carbed the problem is when you rev it, it falls on its face from 1000-2000 rpms then its fine took it for a short drive today and when you stop and start to go again it spits and spudders until it catches its self then runs fine, im a newbie when it comes to ls motors so im lost any help would be appreicated!

Get rid of the carb, why do you think Detroit went to FI.....

Needs a larger pump shot. 50cc accelerator pump.

Because they were selling cars to people like you who don't know how to tune them?

Sorry, couldn't resist the bait. I'm a sucker for a spinner bait being trolled at just the right speed.

It takes some time to get a carb set up right. Unfortunately you are going to need to spend some reading carb set up guides. Also consider seriously investing in a good wideband O2 meter. Bigger accel pump shot might get the car to the point where you can really start tuning it. But everything starts with getting the main jets right at WOT. The best way to do that is with an O2 gauge.

Carbs make more power.

FI is for emissions.

But yes, sounds like a pump shot or squirter size issue.
