Default First time at the track (E.T. times)

Well, this was my first time out....ever ran a 14.1 e.t. @ 101.3 mph. A little disappointed. Made 5 passes this was my best, had some trouble with my launch but by my last pass it was getting better. Car pulled hard first thru third and seem to lose a little (bog) shifting into forth. Shifting @ 6500 rpm.

Guys and Gals with track experience any constructive feedback for a novice!

Specs:

1972 Camaro
3600 lbs. w/me in it.
LS 5.3 TS 228r cam .600/.600 108 lsa
30 degrees timing all in @ 2500rpm / running map
770 holley carb
M20 4 speed
3:42 gears
26" street tires BFG
Stock suspension

Time Slip
Reaction .84 I know I was sleeping!
2.3754 60 foot
9.2596 1/8 mile. 80.79 mph
14.107 1/4 mile. 101.27 mph

I thought the track was pretty good, but I'm new at this drag racing stuff. There were some high 9 second cars there, didn't hear anyone complaining.

Gotcha. I wish it wasn't so far for me, since it's much better than Lapeer, and you don't have to wait so long like at Milan. Its been at least 5 years since I have been there

Had a terrible time hooking up. This did effect my E.T.

2.38 sixty footer is horrible lol. was the track not prepped or it was that bad hooking up? practice makes perfect so keep practicing feathering the throttle on the launch. i'd look into upgrading the suspension and better tires that'll hook.
