Advancing this camshaft is not about peak horsepower gain. In fact, it may make slightly less advanced. It is more about improving low speed torque which is very poor with the LS9 and LS7 cams in a 5.3-6.2 liter LS engine. As you know, a big peak HP on the dyno is not necessarily what makes a car accelerate the best.

Good points! Yeah I should have realized that about advancing the cam. It's more about what's under the curve. I would love to see a chart from anyone who has done this, but won't hold my breath! lol
