1997 k 1500 5.3 swap with 4l60e
I just did a 5.3 swap to replace old tired 4.3 and while it was out i had the transmission rebuilt as well. New 5.3 is installed as well as the rebuilt trans. So my question is what all is needed from engine besides tps signal for the 4l60e to work properly it seems to go into reverse with no issue put it in drive or even into 1st and it acts like there is a huge stall convertor in it i have to really rev it up to get it to move at all. Is there something im missing before i pull tranny out and send it back for rebuild again

Is the tranny AND converter full of fluid?

If the engine is revving while in Drive and little forward movement, SOMETHING is goofy in the tranny, OR it's not "talking" to the engine. Is ALL the wiring harness connected properly? Something might need a reflash.

Well i want to make sure that all is good on my end before removing tranny and taking back to rebuild shop.. So i have a 5.3 ls i am running a 625 demon with their tps kit on it and an msd 6ls controller outside of the tps what other sensors does the trans need from the engine i see some guys say it needs a crank signal and tps. As i said this is my first swap, going to be my last if i cant figure this out

Is there a trans control module involved? With GM ECU's there is...
