for a drag only car, my distributor has been faultless. with the big hvcII coil it throws a massive spark. kicks over first time even with high comp and e85.

Is Jones Racing and Stewart Wegner the only option for mechsnical water pumps for this setup?

the cam extension with worm gear for dizzy, also has cam lobe. so you can run a lever style ford 302 mech fuel pump

Standard crank, rod and pistons.
236/246 cam
standard 241 heads shaved 40 thou.
Quick Fuel Black Diamond Series 950 carby.
2" spacer
Edelbrock Super Victor Manifold.

Made 492hp on a engine dyno

Default My Spark Dissappeared

OK GUYS, a TEN YEAR "sticky" thread and almost NO ONE has EVER answered the main question>

USE the PML intake, made by Wegner (now a GMPP item), the Front cover kit by Casey Wegner (also GMPP), my 302 Ford distributor that Wegner supplies, the Wegner water pump or Stewart pump, ATI Dampener, my matched coil.

THESE ITEMS where required for use by NASCAR in the GN-WEST series, for many YEARS.
The Valve Spring, most often fitted, is the 1511ML.

There are MANY racing series that require "distributed power ignition" to be fitted.

I will not state this is best ignition as one of the inventors of DIS, only to provide the answer to the question.
The Distributor WAS invented by a company named Dayton Engineering Laboratories COmpany used to light gas lamps in factories.
