if it wasnt born a SS, Dont put SS badges on it.

thats like buying a C5, dropping in a C5 Z06 power plant and putting Z06 badges on it. Is it a z06 still? No.

My SS handles much different then my buddys z28. Although I have every SLP option you can get. Its a very noticeable difference between the two when it comes to handling.

I thought the only suspention difference was the SS had larger sway bars. I know it has a larger sway bars, power steering cooler, cat-back, and the hood/spoiler/rims.

Larger rims & sway bars would make it handle better on a road corse.

it's your car, do what you want and what you like the look of. just don't try and sell it as something it isn't and by sell, I don't mean only getting rid of, I mean if someone says nice ss, tell them, you like the look and customized it...

Why is there all this bickering between fellow Camaro owners, who really cares who gets more respect? You know what you got, and its almost to your advantage if you are underestimated. The uninformed person gives the SS more respect, but its not like you can change that. Anyway enough arguing, cars with either badge are quite adept at spanking those other cars with GT and Snake badges, and thats all that matters.

Heres a question for you guys....
My Car is an old Patrol Car.
If you look at the title, it is both a z28 and an SS.
It sure as heck, is not an SS...note no hood/spoiler..
but it is listed as each...
currently i have no badges on the car.
like everyone else who has one we call them B4C's...
but technically speaking...if i were to badge my car....
what should i put?

Keep it real, Rock the z/28....That's how it was born or get a b4c badge machined. Not just a hood and spoiler make it an SS

its better to be underestimated anyway, or you can add more power and get a z/29 badge. my.02

Your RPO sticker has Z28, WU8, and B4C on it? or just the title says Z28/SS

Leave it like it is and let people think it's a V6. then race.

I'm putting the RS spoiler and ground effects on my V6, but adding SS hood and SS striping. I'm gonna badge as an RS since its still a V6. It also has Z28 leather interior.

My Z/28 has the 67-69 Z/28 badges on it. But with the ss hood, wing, and upgraded suspension and people see it and say nice ss and i say "its a Z/28"..lol

SS is an ugraded Z28. Isnt this the SECOND thread you've made with that statment, "lots of cars are SS's, but only the Camaro is Z28"...seems like a childish attempt to either make yourself feel better, or people with actual SS's feel worse.

Grow up.

Your car, your money. Do what ever you want with it.
I personally would leave the badges off and race little ricers that challenge you and think they can take on the world with their 200K mile 4-bangers.

The Z/28 is and was always a great Camaro, (I have owned 5 of them but fell in love with the SS' when the 96's showed up in the showrooms) however during the 4th gen run the SS' were i think more respected due to some of the available options that SLP offered. (appearance, documentation, exhausts, suspension levels) Also there were the sought after cars like the 30th anniversary LT4 powered cars and then the 35th Anniversary cars (the ones with the actual RPO Z4C and Z7D codes). GMMG i think also helped out with the respect with the cars they put together.

and i just want to add, if your car didnt arrive at the dealership with SS badges dont put them on! (Be proud of the Z on the fenders its the Z28 that made the Camaro famous)

I love the ss looks but id rather have a Z28, SS has been put on too many cars. Only Camaros have been Z28...Id rather have that heritage of the Z28...
