Ok i am swaping a motor and i have not worked on them much and never really been around them because most of my friends are stang guys. (feel sry for them lol). Buy what is the best way to pull the motor out. i have heard that it has to come out the bottom, and some say it comes out the top.

it doesn't HAVE to come out from the bottom, but thats the easiest way.

alot of guys dont have a hard time pulling it out from the top either, just depends on if you have the proper equipment and room to pull from the bottom or top.

if you have access to a lift Ive heard the bottom is easier. But i dont have a lift so we pulled it from the top.

So you're saying your friends drive slow cars.

Top os not hard at all. Search in the internal engine section and you can probably find a step by step for it.

I pull the front bumper off to get the cherry picker in far enough. Then you simply rotate the engine a little when pulling it out.



I have never tried the bottom method.

Umm yea i guess so but dont tell them i said that seeing as how theirs is running and mine is about to go under the knife.

But has anyone pull it with the trans or do you drop the trans first.
