Widest 18" rim can be used 2002 Camaro SS in rear?

Widest 18" rim can be used 2002 Camaro SS in rear? Does anybody know what the widest 18" rim you can use on a 2002 Camaro SS 
? I wanted to use some 18x10.5 C6 ZO6 wheels but I was told the widest you could go was a 10"and the only option was 9.5 to 10.5 
. Any wider and the rim would rub on suspension parts. But I've heard of people using 11" rims.

Here's what the 18X10.5 look like out the back.
