I hope this is the correct forum to post this. My son bought a 01 Camaro V6with with wireless entry\alarm. We don't know if the wireless entry\alarm is factory or after market. He also lost the transmitter. I need to find the location of the wireless entry\alarm control box in the car so I can determine if it's a Chevy part or after market. Any ideas where to look?

You can look for RPO code "AU0" (remote entry lock control) on the drivers side door to see if the car came with it from the factory. Replacement remotes are available on ebay and you can program it yourself, just be sure you get the right part number/FCCID number.
