I have a 2002 camaro Z28 A4 with 2.73


yesterday I was trying to get more than 150 mph, it was on D so it should shift to fourth but it didn't , top speed was more than 150 and 6000rpm
at third than it was like braking or cutting the power at that speed

does it have a speed limiter?

I heard it will not shift to fourth at that speed to protect the transmission ?

my car is full bolt ons cam and a tune

I believe there is a speed limiter on the factory tune based on speed rating of tires.

Custom tune should be able to adujst it.

But don't drive that fast. Please.

if its in D and not overdrive it will only be using 3 gears not 4 and the speedlimiter is 155 if you have 245 tires

They are limited to 162 but i don't know if they are w/2:73's.

it's in overdrive gear, so it should shift to fourth

that's why I have 2.73 to go as fast as my car can go

Yes, you have a limiter in your car if you have the stock tune
