Default What were the exact changes in 01 ?

I know i read about the clutch hydraulics etc and the ls6 intake but can anyone tell me what I would need to do to upgrade?

What parts exactly in the clutch system are changed? Master and slave?? Are the clutches the same?

If i drop on an ls6 intake manifold do I just need block off plates? Will it pop codes?

'if' The one car I have my heart set on comes home I'll be doing longtubes in it without egr anyways so i understand I can just tune the codes out for that. Does the 98-00 benifit from an ls6 intake?

The 01-02 cars came with the LS6 clutch. The 01-02 cars also came factory with the LS6 intake

Cool link. I feel like passing on a 99 ss now lol. I was sure the clutch master or slave was revised as well?

From what I remember, the 01 cam is smaller but the intake helps it make more power. I am guesing an ls6 on a 98-00 will net a pony or 2 more if I put it on?

If I do get a 98-00 I will definitely do the ls6 and ls7 clutch and newer clutch hydraulics. then I'll feel better.

In theory, a LS6 intake on a 98-00 would make more power than an 01/02 simply because of the cam difference.

I also wouldn't worry about the clutch at all. When it comes time to replace it, then just upgrade the hydraulics rather than doing the clutch and upgrade before it's shot.

Sounds like the plan I'll follow. Put up a wtb ls6 intake post already. What hydraulics were upgraded? Slave and master ?
