Default ABS/TC doesn't work after axle swap

I swapped out a 4-channel rear for another 4-channel rear with different gear ratio (old 2.73, new 3.42). I had to swap the backing plates and axle reluctor rings from the old to new. Now the ABS/TC doesn't work and the dash reads out that the ABS is inoperable, and the traction control is always off. I wouldn't care so much if it was just the TC, but I want ABS to work.

Is there something that I missed during the swap, or a quick fix in the ECM?

I just remembered that I turned on the key switch to put the transmission in neutral before I plugged in the harness. I'll bet that threw problem codes. Now that the sensors are plugged in will it reset automatically after a certain number of key cycles, or do I have to wipe out the problem codes to start over?

I cleared the codes and it didn't help. I guess it's a legitimate problem that I have to fix.

Are you positive the car has traction control axle shafts? I know aftermarket doesnt have the availability to get the axle shafts. So if a person had changed them at some point and decided to give up t/c....that could be your problem so check the axleshafts or try to replace with your old ones and see if that fixes the problem.

I feel stupid. I accidently put the sway bar u-bolt over the wires and crushed them. Problem solved.

Ya, you said it, brother! I had some really slim connectors and tubing on hand already, so at least it didn't cost me.
