Default My Dream Car - Cleaned up a bit

I got the car towed to my house and washed it up the next day. Here are a few CLEAN pictures of my dream car! You can tell the big block springs are installed up front, it's sitting so high! It'll squat nice after I get that beast put in there...

Looks like a nice solid 69. What are your plans?

Thanks guys. I'm planning on keeping it pretty stock, minus a few minor things. A disc brake conversion and 12-bolt posi are probably the extent of my mods to the car. It was originally a 307 powerglide car, but got the rebuilt 396 long block and 3 th350s with the car. The dude put some 9.5:1 pop up pistons in it, so that will help a little bit with performance yet still let me run pump gas through it.

If you find yourself stuck and not working on the car, get a copy of the movie "Better off Dead". It'll get you in the mood to see your Camaro finished!

Haha yes, yes it would. But for now, a 396 is going in there. Maybe down the road, I'll do an LSX 427 swap...

I can't look-I'm too jealous, lol. Yeah 396 or LS427 for sure...

The older I get the more I like the first generation Camaros. I finally got a '68 last summer. Yours is a bit nicer than what I found or at least what I found in my price range.

Yeah, nothing tops a 1st Gen Camaro. I actually picked this one up for $12,500 and it came with a rebuilt 396 long block with all new guts and pop up pistons, 3 TH350 transmissions, Holley 750 carb, new starter, new radiator, new water pump, new engine mounts and tranny mount, and some extra SBC stuff that I can sell. I still need to pick up a harmonic damper, flexplate, alternator, and battery.

That is similar to what I paid for my '68 a few months ago. I don't think either of our cars could have been had for that price three years ago.

Oh yeah, that's a real pretty car! And you're right about the price...if the economy ever bounces back up, the value of these cars will bounce back as well!
