Default 02 Camero Z28 SS SFI V8

I have inherited a 2002 Camero Z28 SS. The engine option is 5.7 Liter SFI V8. It is also a 35th Anniversary, but doesn't have special paint. I can't find any info on the SFI option. Can anyone describe it to me or send me to a site that I might find the info? Also, kind of confused on the 35th Edition. Did all 2002 have the 35th edition logo? Please help...I'm not tech savvy, obviously.

First things first. Learn how to spell camaro . SFI stands for sequential fuel injection. If it has the 35th edition logo and it is red and has silver checker flag stripes then it is a 35th anniversary edition. All 2002's are considered to be 35th anniversay as my old '02 SS had the dash plaque and all that, but the red and silver striped ones are the special 35th anniversay edition. To explain it in the simplest way I can. Hope that helps get you started.

I'll reiterate the first reply -- all 2002 Camaros had the "35th Anniversary" rectangle badge on the dash.

SFI is irrelevant as you'll merely find that to be a generic descriptor for, what I presume to be, motor vehicle records and insurance.

To ensure you have a true SS, you'll want to look at the RPO stick on the driver door and confirm "WU8" in listed. If not, then it's just a Z28.

You came to the correct site for answers -- best of luck.

OP, he is referring to the 35th Anniversary LIMITED EDITION (LE) model. That is the proper name for it. They are all red with the LE stripe package and special badges.

Correct. ALL 2002 models are 35th Anniversary Editions. I think even V6 cars got the dash plaque. The Limited Edition (LE) has the special appearance package.

Default SFI Engine

C-A-M-A-R-O. I deserved that one. Thanks to everyone for your expertise and williness to share. My husband had bought this camaro as an investment in 2002. Of course. 2010 shattered that. But, she's been a garage queen most of her life and has only 40,000 miles. Pretty and shinny as the day he drove it off the show room floor.

Default 02 Camaro SFI

And Skifreak wins the question of the day. My husband is deceased and I'm left with all kinds of fun things to sale. The 02 Camaro (someday for the right price), a partially restored 56 Chev 210, a car trailer, a motorhome......you get the picture. By the way, what is the right price for the Camaro?

Sorry to hear that. Post some good detailed pictures for us and we can give you a better informed price you could ask for it. Just taking a stab you could probably get 16 or 17 K for it if it is in top notch condition. You could ask 18 or 17.5 to give you some room to come off. People will disagree with me, but I always tend to get what I'm asking for my cars.

The miles are too high for a collector to purchase it, in my opinion. I'd venture to guess closer to $15k to the right buyer, but it'd have to be immaculate.
