Not exactly new here, but it's a new car!
Hello everyone,
I've posted here before concerning my 2002 35th Anniversary Z that I recently traded in on a new car. I missed the thrill of my f-body, so needless to say I was on the search for a new one.
Well, one day I stumbled across this 2000 SS with only 25k miles on it, for only $9,000. I knew I needed to check this car out, because there had to something wrong with it.
Drove it, looked it over, and sure enough the carfax confirmed the low mileage. Apparently the 63 year old guy who owned it just didn't have time to drive it. So it sat, for 13 years, mostly under a car cover (which just about ruined the paint, I might add. I spent several hours polishing the car prior to the pictures).
The car is stock with the exception of MSD wires and a Magnaflow muffler. I had the Hurst short throw left over from my last Camaro, so I threw it in this one.
So, I just wanted to show off my new ride and express my pleasure knowing I am the proud owner of an f-body once again.
Any thoughts?

Jeeze...that's a great fking deal... I don't feel like checking, but seems like the kelly blue book value would be around 15000$. Good for you, but what was he thinking. Nice find though.

Thanks fellas! I knew for the price there had to have been something wrong with it, but it seems fine. I guess I was on Craigslist at the right place at the right time. The tires are actually brand-new Goodyear Eagle F1's, so I really lucked out. Thanks again!

Sounds like a good deal.
The car also has an SLP air lid, a strut tower brace, some clear corner lights, and some sort of carbon fiber looking piece at the bottom of the gauge cluster. Did you add those as well, or did they come with the car?

I guess I assumed the SLP lid and strut brace were SLP add-ons from the factory. The SLP sticker in the passenger door is illegible. As far as the clear corners, no those were on there as well. I suppose I didn't really consider those as worth mentioning. The car also had smoked headlight and taillight covers, but I took them off because they were dust traps and I don't care for the look of them. The interior is packed with that hideous "carbon fiber" accent crap. I spent the better half of a Sunday trying to peel that garbage off. I still have more to go. Why do people do these things? WHY????
