L33 swap into 87 Iroc Z
Fellow 3rd Gener's
I am about to start a L33 project in my 87 Iroc, she has a 5.0 now and 79K original miles. It is time to retire the old 5.0 and put in a LSx.
I have found my L33 and now I am wondering about intakes, and any other parts that are required to perform the swap.. also thoughts on keeping the 700r4 or finding a 4l60e??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

keep the 700r4, bc the 4l60e is computer controlled... the 700r4 is not.
for a nice punch in the 5.3 and drive-ability... find a 02-04 Z06 cam, LS6 intake and port the heads or find some 243s. I found mine with low mileage for $400 a couple years back. seen some for $350. but i wished i had mine ported before installing but didn't have time.
as for as motor mounts... they are sold everywhere. from jegs to hawksthirdgen. long tubes as well
