I recently got a 2000 z28 a4 with 160k on it. First off i noticed a 400-500rpm flare on the 2-3 shift. I went through all the normal stuff- fluid, maf, tps, map, fuses. And everything else that could have been the problem. I noticed that the tranny had been replaced at one time, so i thought ,maybe it was replaced with a truck tranny and it doesent have the vette servo. So i ordered the servo and longer pin. Installed it last night and bam!!!!! No more flare!!! Hope this may help others.
