Default Alternator mess up

Okay so I'm trying to take out my alternator cause I think it's bad but 2 problems... 1 I can't get the cord that connects to the battery and in back of the alternator out cause it's keeps twirling with the ratchet. 2. The exictor cord or that cord that clips in the back of the alternator broke and there just wire hanging. would I be able to buy another one of those clips and solder it back together? And is there a way to make the cord to the battery stop twirling around with the ratchet or an easier way at least..?

Tighten the nut back to full tightness. Then give it a quick shot to loosen it. May take a couple tries
