1999 or 2000 Z28: which one and why?
If your choice was between a 1999 and 2000 Z28, which one would you chose, and why?
I'm looking to buy my second Camaro and I have seen 2 almost identical Z's. Pratically at the same Price.
Both are in great shape, almost stock and differ only slightly:
2000 has 140.000 km's, 1999 120.000 km's.
2000 has Magnaflow exhaust, 1999 single exhaust.
1999 comes with winter tires, 2000 not.
That's about it.
Let's see some choises!

If condition and price are equal, then it would all come down to optional equipment for me, specifically color and interior. If those are also the same, then I'd pick the one with the least amount of previous owners and/or the best documentation.

If they've both had the same amount of owners, then you can start nitpicking about the minor differences, such as the mileage and final price (however small the difference).
You mentioned "single exhaust" on the '99. Not a single LS1 Z28 ever came with a single outlet exhaust, so not sure what happened there. But if you like the aftermarket system on the 2000, then that's one less thing you'd have to buy assuming that you don't like the setup on the '99. Also, the '00 came with higher flowing exhaust manifolds, so if you don't plan to ever do headers then the '00 system is a little better in stock form.
It was [correctly] mentioned above that the interior color was changed between '99 and '00 (from "Dark Gray" to a darker, charcoal gray called "Ebony"). If this color difference matters to you, then perhaps this would be a good decision factor.

As for the interior, it's too bad that GM never offered a true black on any of the 4th gens instead of just dark gray and charcoal gray.
