Default 98-02 ls1 camaro, what is your gas mileage

I have a 2000 SS with a cop car motor, iridium spark plugs, gutted cats, slp lid, ls6 intake, spectre air filter and a flow master. 210000 miles.

I drive this car and race it around on full throttle. I get 20 MPG around town / high way regardless of how I drive

I live in a town connected by highways

Too bad he doesn't have a racing truck cam from a v10...those motors really rip.

I get around 20mpgs with weekend driving.

Yeah, I know the B4C cars are a thing, but it's the same LS1 so you should see the same mileage people post everytime there is a "what mpgs do you get" thread.

exactly lol no cop car motors are special anymore. that went the way of the dodo in the early 90's when they started making cars with real power again

my car runs like a top, I have about 15mpg but the air filter I took out was so dirty I couldn't see through it when I held it up to the sun, when I changed it for a spectre filter it added 5mpg. never in my life have I seen an increase in any car I have owned with a filter change

Real world mixed driving results, I've gotten about 19-20 average mpg. Long highway trips obviously better and can get around 24.

I've been meaning to calculate my gas mileage, with a cam, converter, and gears it should be interesting. If I had to guess it'll be in the 15-18 range since its a weekend car that sees mainly city driving.

The scangauge on one long trip showed 29mpg, but real world I've bested around 24. But 99% of my driving is fun driving, and mpg is not a consideration. Gas may be 2.79 a gallon, but romping wot from 0-100, priceless.

i wanted to see if i could get better gas mileage babying my car around town.
nope

i seem to get 20 MPG no matter what i do (not complete highway that is more)

gut your cats and use iridium plugs like me for similar results!!!

i thought when i put my ls6 intake on my mileage would go down.
it is the same as ls1 intake

(22MPG on ethanol free gas)

the only thing in my life i seem to be OCD about
that mileage counting is the same for my truck, focus, and two third gens (they dont see too many miles)

it helps in also making sure my car is running to normal mileage, and i got started doing it so i can prove all my tax deductible mileage

Or you guys can use Fuelly.com and text in your mileage everytime you fill up. Nice graphs and keeps track of all your mileage in the "cloud".
