Default Need some input on cams

I have a 02 ss. I want to install a cam but not sure what size, nothing to crazy I'm not building a full blown race car. I have replaced the stock (flat) ypipe and have just installed Bbk shorty headers, I have the slp lid and gmmg cat back. The car has been lowered is the reason I didn't go with long tubes, Has anyone installed cam with shortys? Thanks for any help!

Shorties will be fine with a cam but you'll be giving up power compared to longtubes. If you don't plan on heads later on something like a 228r or something similar might be on the lines if what you're looking for
