Were is the fuel pump located on a 01 Camaro? Is it inside the gas tank? I am still running the oem fuel pump after 140,000 miles so how many miles do these last. Is it time to replace?

My fuel gauge is acting erratically so replacing the sending unit and fuel pump at this time make sense. No need to drop the fuel tank twice.

The pump is in the tank. You got the right idea, if you plan on changing the sending unit you might as well swap out the pump.
