Default Kart-maro

I had purchased a basically junk 99 Camaro with a V6. It had a blown out head gasket and the body was rough. I was about to scrap the car after seeing just how rough it was but decided first I would cut it down and see what it would be look like as a kart after seeing roadkill's vettekart. I decided to replace the head gaskets and this is as far as I've made it so far.

oh my god this is the greatest thing EVER!!!!!!

in all seriousness with all the weight you have dropped that 3.8 should feel like a power house. Have you weighed it to see where you are at now?

No not yet but I'll get it to some scales soon I hope. I'm really curious as well. It is pretty quick but it just blazes one tire so I need to get that taken care of this week.

yeah the base models didnt come with the LSD and I think they had 3.08 or 3.24 gears maybe, been way to long since Ive dug into that. I know the y87 rpo cars had the performance package with came with a ls1 steering rack as well as 3.42 gears so that makes a big difference.

awesome build ..... tear down?

Thanks, I'm pretty sure we don't have any performance packages on this car. I have a 3.42 rearend laying around waiting to see what happens. I'm going to weld up the spider gears in the factory rearend. The car is so light that I'm not really worried about it breaking. I can't wait to see how fast it is without the tires spinning.

In any instances where flow is similar (like this example) the smaller engines will have more potential hp with a given blower/turbo. Islander pointed that out unknowingly I assume, but bigger cubes with "equal" flow, you need to feed 1.2 liters extra every revolution or suffer reduced rpm and reduced power output. That's pretty basic ****... no matter the make.
