Default Holley Hi Ram+3" VFN SS hood clearance

Curious if it'll fit under my VFN 3" SS hood, and if anyone has run this combo together successfully. Mine is on it's way, and if I need a new hood I'd like to jump on a FS ad to save down time (98' Z28) as I don't want to cut the hood, street car classes prohibit any exposed parts coming from the hood etc...at least in my experiences. Nonetheless--I don't want to cut the hood up. So it not an option..

Yes I know I'll have to cut my cowl.
Yes I know I need to ditch my wipers.
Yes I know I may have to trim the windshield itself.
Yes I know I need to port match the TB to the intake.

And--Yes, I searched.

Lol thanks in advance guys!!

It fit under my buddies knock off sunoco hood. Not sure what size it's considered.

I've read about WS6 hoods, and fitment in 5th gens, and trucks but not much about F body camaro hoods.
I did read someone's *opinion* that it would take a 4"-5" scoop to clear.. just about every pic in these threads have all been deleted seeing as they're a few years old lol
I also read about people putting washers on their K member to space it roughly 1/2" to give some clearance. Not sure I want to do that.

Thanks man! I appreciate the response. If I don't get an answer soon I'll just find out when it goes in!

He didn't space the k member down to clear the windshield. Our chassis guy said it wouldn't make enough of a difference to mess with any of the suspension.

I definitely won't go that route. Guess we'll see!
Do you remember how much he cut his windshield? I'm assuming the tray is gone..
I know the LS1/6 are taller than the LS3s as well.. so take that into consideration, along with head choice etc. no wonder there isn't more write up stuff on it

He didn't cut his windshield at all. Like I said he spaced the k member down. He went 1.20's to the 60ft in that car too. Soooo it works. It doesn't effect the suspension like you think it does.

Would you say it's less work than the windshield trim?

I suppose I don't have to drop the whole unit, I can just loosen them all enough then take one bolt at a time and slap the washers in. I just hope I get the height right lol

How much tray did he trim out? I'm assuming that's inevitable...

Yeah just loosen them all. Then pull one bolt at a time to get a washer up there. He trimmed the cowl all the way up to the windshield. You have to.
