Default Engine swap wont start.

Two cars into one trouble. I purchased 94 hard top with no drive line or keys. Factory 3.4 v6. Also purchased wrecked 95 convertible that runs and drives with same 3.4 drive line. Swapped 95 convertible drive line and steering column into 94 hard top . Security light stayed on and no start. All lights and accessories work. Bypassed VATS with spliced in resister in wire under steering column. Still no start and security light is still staying on. There is no power to starter, fuel pump and possibly the injectors. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

first how did you decide which resister to get for the key bypass? is it done correctly? is the vats security box from the donor car with it?

Thanks for reply. I used the whole steering column from the donor car. I matched the ohms from this key to make the bypass with a resister of same ohms. I did not switch vats box from the donor car to the recipient car. Is this my problem? I will try this and get back to you. Thanks green Camaro.

Default Engine swap wont start

Update on Vats box switch. I did locate and switch vats box. Starter is now functioning. Motor cranks over. but still not getting any power to the fuel pump. engaged fuel pump with a jumper wire. Still engine cranks and no start. I did notice a wiring difference between the two cars. The Red 94 has 8 wires in the plug from the wiring harness to the PCM. The White 95 has a ninth wire. Orange in color that runs back to the fuse block under the hood to position # 8 labeled PCM. there is not this # 8 fuse or orange power wire in the Red 94. Trying to confirm this could be an issue. I'm not finding the wiring diagrams to confirm. any help is appreciated.

I will post picture of both connectors tomorrow to show both as to be certain that I'm referring to this correctly. Thanks for confirming what I thought of this orange wire. I will get back with you tomorrow

Correction on the plug and connector I was referring to. It was for the engine wiring harness. Thanks for the help. You were correct. I removed the orange wire from the 95 and inserted it into place in the 94 wiring harness and the car started right away and runs great. Many thanks,
