Front sway bar upgrade 98 Z28 general questions
Hi guys,
I am upgrading the front sway bar on my 98 Z28 as the original 30mm bar has rusted and snapped on one end.
I have the replacement bar and a Haynes manual on how to replace it. It looks straightforward enough assuming the bolts will come off the original, which might require some force.
Are there any tips you guys can give me on it in addition to the manual instructions? I have the drop links and d bushings as part of the kit.
There is one thing I saw whilst watching this video, (which is the only video I could find). He talks about using a jack to compress the lower control arm up in order to get the new drop links in and attached.
My question is do you think this is needed as the manual does not mention this step being required.
Thanks all
Alex
