The rear wing looks like it's almost directly off a '91/'92 Formula.
I'm glad GM seriously cleaned up that concept and made it into what they actually released for 1993.

GM did have a 4thgen Firebird concept, it was black. I've seen pictures of it somewhere, but I can't remember where. It might have been in a book about Pontiac cars from my local library.

Haha! After several hours of searching the internet, I finally found pictures of the 4thgen Trans Am concept cars.
I also found some pictures of a concept camaro form the mid-80s. It was called the Camaro GTZ. I believe the body kit is available for purchase from some website.

Oooh, I likey the rims on that concept Camaro. It looks like everythign was rounded out with a fine file on that 3rd gen concept.
The Firebird one, well, it' follows the 4th Gen concept of the Camaro with it being mainly what it'll look like. But it looks like the nose goes into a point like a rocket instead of flattenign out.
EXAMPLE- /\ rather than a T

i believe the 3rd gen concept
was supposed to receive both turbo v8 and v6 engines
but was later scrapped due to the GM bean counters
and new emmission standards
that was the reason of the contoured fascia
for the installation of a front mount intercooler
i remeber reading this a few years ago sowhere
woulda been cool if they built turbo f-bodys
from the factory
WOULDA BEEN REALLY HARD TO GO BACK TO
N/A STOCK CARS

There was a sister car to the California Camaro called the Banshee. It was also used in Knightrider 2000. The Trans Am concept shown above came out after the Banshee show car.

The Banshee wasn't used in the Knight Rider movie. Pontiac did not allow the studio to use a Trans Am like they did in the series [BAD marketing move]. So, they bought a Dodge Stealth instead and redesigned it using styling cues from the Banshee.
