Default 02SS Camaro - Header Recommendation???

Need a recommendation for the best bang for the buck header kit out there. We've installed a Magnaflow catback on little bro's car, but now he's ready for headers/ cats/ Ypipe. He's running a 75 shot of NAWZ!

What say you???

Mike

Thumbs up

Kooks stainless if you want quality, ground clearance and a great fit. Yeah, they are a little pricey but you'll never have to replace them. My .02 worth.

If your looking for a bang for the buck header, Pacesetter Longtubes are the way to go, but I would suggest the Ceramic Coating, although it's pricey, it's worth it in the long run. Hooker also makes very good, fairly inexpensive Headers for LS1 cars, it all depends on what you want to spend. Kooks and QTP are top of the line if you decide to go with the best of the best, and have the money to pay for it.

i'd say qtp or kooks,im running qtp, but we just installed a set of black painted flowtech lt's and he paid like $250 give or take a little. i've installed slp's and qtp's and the flowtech's went in the easiest. dont know about quality and durability but they were cheap and very easy to install. they fit really good, in fact they tucked up so tight under the car that the header itself was hitting the bottom of the floorboard on the driver side, but thats a quick fix. anyway, just my .02

i love my qtp's . we put slp's on a guy's car and they hand waaaayyyy to low for me. just my .02 again

QTPs and Kooks are probably the best quality wise, and they're stainless steel. But that comes with a premium price tag.

Best bang for the buck has got to be PaceSetter.
I have them on my car and the quality is good, and the fitment is perfect.
LTs & ORY for $580 total, can't beat it!

Have you come to a decision yet? Also, I'm located in Vermillion, SD... about an hour from Sioux Falls in the Southeast Corner of South Dakota.

Yes, we came to (He came to a decision I should say) a decision. I'm a fan of LGM long tubes and that's what I have on the Vette. He doesn't have that kinda budget, so he ordered the PACE Setter PAINTED header and the Texas Speed Ypipe/cats. I don't think he has $600 in everything. We're waiting to put it on until he has the money together for an LS1 Edit tune. I figure he'll need it.

I wish he had gotten the coated Pace Setters. They would only have been about $80 more in the auction he bought these through. But oh well... Guess he can buy some header paint!

We're in Virginia... Right smack dabb in the middle between Richmond and Washington DC on I-95!
