Default how to tell camaro difference

Hey guys.. im a new member here... great forum BTW.

But i do have a question... what are all the differences between the SS and Z/28 camaros? (Im talking mainly 98 and up)

And what are the differences between the z/28's and the v6 camaros?? I have seen some, and they looked exactly alike, other than dual exhaust... can anyone help me out??

Thanks

SS has SLP options, brings up the horsepower a bit and you also get the induction hood and SS spoiler. Sometimes SS rims, but I don't think they all have them.

Z28s compared to V6 cars have the badges, dual exhaust (not true duals), a bigger engine, and usually different rims. In terms of styling/appearance they are very similar.

SS gets fiberglass hood and hatch w/spoiler, SS badging, They all got at least the 10 spokes, but were available with chrome 10 spokes or chrome ZR1s. Various SLP otpions were also available with the SS.

Just for reference I have the snowflake rims on my 01 v6. Currently saving for black or gunmetal c5 rims.

You'll get tired of them quickly when you start to see F-bods with aftermarket wheels

One good way to tell if it's a Z or not is to either race him or listen to the exhaust

The difference between the V6 and the Z28 is quite large. You are comparing a 3.8L V6 used in many GM vehicles to a 5.7L V8 used only in high performance GM vehicles. You also can't forget that the aftermarket for the V8 is much larger and it's a lot easier to get a LOT more power out of the V8.
