haha the other fender has a fender guard on it...dont worry. and the car will be sold when i die haha. the motor ill sell for around 2500 (3600 new) and trans ill sell for 500(1000 new) the engine and trans have about 2 thousand miles on both of them. Whats the point of buying new right?

Is it a pain in the butt to take the motor and trans out together? I see that you accomplished it which means it definitely is possible but exactly how hard or easy is it? I'm actually going to be putting in my motor and trans tomorrow hopefully . Just curious. Good luck on your install by the way.

Well, today we had some problems with putting in clutch and tranny. Im not sure if anyone has had the problem but the mcleod bellhousing needed to be modidifed to fit the world blcok. the cam housing on the bac sticks out past the face where the bellhousing plate site so i needed to cut out a large whole. it wasnt to bad here are some pics. i tossed in the 427 at the end too.

Hey 1 Fine 69, you were quite right. It was almost too easy for both the tranny and motor to go in. The only thing is that the motor mount bolt to bolt to the frame mount won't go in, it's barely missing by a little bit. Sheesh. But other than that, it's in .

That's my little pride and joy that will probably be getting me in some trouble .
Not exactly the best time to take a picture huh.
I'll take some in a couple of days (im going out of town ) with the motor in and the carb on . It looks sick.
Before we "dropped" the motor in, we actually did drop the motor on its noggin, actually the valve cover and oil pan took a bad hit. Rockers are fine. But we did find out a lot about the motor. It has the milodon splayed main caps on it which I was surprised to see because im not used to upgraded performance parts. And it also has a shaft mounted rocker system on it similar to jesel . Enjoy

Well today i thought i would have time(after my enlistment in the navy) to put the motor in but i only got the trans on. I had a problem sliding the trans in because the clutch plate was not perfectly aligned. I called Jeff from classicchevy5speed and he said the best and safest way to fix it was to take apart the bellhousing again. Me and my dad said no way and asked him if we could get the clutch palte depressed would it slide in. He said yea so we took out an angled wrench and pulled real hard on the clutch arm and it slide right in! everything is connected and it goes in tomorow(if it doesnt rain!)

Looks good when everything's not dirty . I'm in san antonio right now and just got done buying a bunch of stuff at a swap meet for my camaro . Man I love swap meets. Glad you didn't have to take the bellhousing apart. It would've been a pain.

Well heres the install. Everything went great. Only had a little trouble with the driver side motor mount but it took ten minutes to fix. I have to get those valve covers off though! i think they look horrible. What your opinion and if you feel the same way as me whats your suggestion. More pics will be coming.

I'd say get some fabricated aluminum valve covers , they look awesome. A bit pricey though. What trouble did you have with the motor mount? Curious because my driver side mount is missing the hole by just a little bit and it's making me mad. I have solid motor mounts, not sure if it makes a difference.
