Default Confused on the egr

i have a 2002 camaro z28 and currently putting lt headers on with no egr or air fitting , i hear that 01-02 didnt come with egr .... well if they didnt then why does my car have it?? i bought a freeze plug for my slp lid to stop any leaks ...if it didnt come with egr then whats that hose attached to my slp lid that runs all the way back behind the engine and goes into some round object and connects to the exhaust manifold???? neeed help

I'm gonna go with the AIR hose
EGR hose connects from the intake manifold to the EGR to the headers

Yes, that hose is for the AIR system, which your car would have. The air pump is down in the driver's side fender.
