Default Ls1 5.3 in 1st gen nova headers??

I've searched the internet and various forums but haven't had any luck. Would anyone know of a header or manifold that could be used on a ls type engine swapped in a 1st gen nova with stock clip? I'm wanting to keep the stock clip instead of getting an aftermarket front clip.

You have not looked very hard, as I have posted several times about this very issue here and at steves. I have a 5.3 in my stock clip and was unable to find manifolds that would fit the passenger side. The only option that I did not try was the CTS-V, and the pontiac G8 manifolds. One of these 2 might work.

If you flip the C6 vette manifolds upside down and route the exhaust towards a turbo and install a Heidts frontend it all works fine

On a serious note....were the C6s tried? They seem to be pretty small...probably hit the shock tower though....Stock Nova frontend FTL

Default LS! Nova Headers.

Stainless Works Made me a beautiful set for my 67 Nova LS2/4L70E Stock front clip , GTO oil Pan , Camaro belt pump setup, Dual Spal 11" fans. Engine is on home made 1/2" aluminum plates moved about 3/8 in. (I can double check) forward. He gave me a print out of each tube in case of Damage I could call and they could make a new one. I had checked all over and when I called he said he could use my car as a sort of prototype So I trailered it From Windsor Canada. through Detroit Mi to Cleavland OH.If you want to Email me For info paulpoirier47@hotmail.com

You could try using a set of SBC headers, cut the flange off and modify any tube that needs it and use a LS1 flange. That way at lease move of the bottom end routing of the tubes will be in the correct location and all you need to do is the flange and top of the tubes.

If you don't mind saying I would like to know how much these headers cost from stainless works.PM me if you'd rather.Post up some pictures of your car and the headers,Iwould love to see it and Im sure eyeryone else would too.A nice set of headers for a 66-67 nova with ls motor are nearly impossible to come by.I cant believe that no one makes a good header for this swap.
