Any pointers would would give, anything you would change, im going through a frame up of my 70 chevelle right now. Im just about done the chassis, and after seeing your build gave me the courage to commit to an LS swap. Hopefully i can find engine/tranny/harness and ecm somewhere in Alberta, 6.0L or 5.3L. Also, how did you like the 305/40's? I want the same tire combo, and it looks killer on your velle. By chance is there any plans on getting rid of the Z06 wheels/tires/ spacers? How much total drop do you think your car has, front/rear. I went 2", but it looks like yours is around 3" maybe more? Killer work, hope to see more.

If you are still looking for a ls swap, let me know, send me a PM. Over the past 3 years I have gained TONS of friends and connections to help others out the way I was helped out. I have no idea how much lower it is, Its low, I'd like to go lower haha but I like my wheels right on the edge of the fender. I am keeping the adapters and wheels for now, sorry!

I rocked the 1st gen version of the BRP hotrods swap kit. I now have their new kit in as I tore the rubber mounts apart in the gen 1 kits. Thanks for the kind words!

sorry for taking so long on the reply!! I am DBW so no cable. I've seen guys use just standard throttle cable, cut to length and crimped using bicycle cable crimps, for a cheaper alternate to say a Lokar(which work great and are usually a set length)

PS, I was creepin your thread, Killer car dude! I really like it!

Didn't see the post where you hurt the rear! Bummmer!

I ended up selling the rear brake kit, bought new brakes and left some cash in my pocket!

I cant remember what it made on 8-9psi. It would have been single turbo'd if I can find the dyno sheets. I made 620/600rwhp/tq on 12psi with pump 91 and no meth. rod bolts, pushrods, 918 valve springs. Can't complain one bit!

Wow, I don't know if you realize that what you have accomplished with your car is what most people try to do. I remember before I started my swap you're car was the first build I came across, and still keeps me inspiered..Thank you.
My question is why did you end up going with a fuel cell after all this time? For safety or the tanks inc set failed? The reason I ask is cuz I will be going tanks inc style and want to make the best decision.

Thanks a bunch for the kind words! I really appreciate it. I always return PM's when people ask me questions as I was once in that position. I like to forward any info and experiences I have in order to help others get their projects done in a more timely, higher quality and cost effective manner.

I went with the fuel cell because I was maxing out the walbro 255 intank pump. I was also experiencing sucking the pump dry at the track with lower fuel levels, both in corners and 1/4 mile. The fuel cell is sumped so it picks up off the bottom rear. Gravity always feeds it. Plus it is baffled and has foam inside to reduce sloshing. I will say I ran the tanks inc kit for 4 or 5 years and it worked great! Once I got into the low 11's and 10 second range is where I had to switch to a bigger pump. Was cheaper and quicker to do the cell at that point. I did not want to buy a new stock tank and sump it. The fittings hang down fairly low. I did give up my trunk though. Still fits chairs and a cooler though

Awesome numbers man, any plans to make it track "legal" and put a cage in it? My buddy has basically the same setup you originally had but in his '00 rcsb silverado and he got booted from the track for no cage also, it went 11.36 @ 117mph launching in 4wd with a 1.6 60ft. Hence why my shuvel is getting the ls transplant, can't have a pickup out running my hotrod, something just not right about that. LOL

Thanks!! Work is pretty slow so there is no cage in the car yet. I'm hoping to land another gig and start makin the coin I want to. In the mean time, I'm going to jam some tires on the car and cruise it when the weather clears up in may(fingers crossed)

Thats movin nicely for a truck! But keep your shovel in front!! hahaha

This is the greatest car ever built. I am pretty much going to copy everything you have done and apply to my El Camino. Any autocross vids?
