Default is the 98 engine harness different?

I'm swapping a ls1 into a 240sx.....I thought I heard the dash plug might be different? help please.

will it work with 2000+ ecu?

I am not sure about the dash plug. Are you planning on putting in a camaro cluster into a 240? Or wiring the 240 gauges into the lsx computer?

The 1998 harness is different when it comes to the engien harness and you will need to use a 1998 computer.

The plugs on the engine are the same with the exception of the temp sensor. The plugs for the PCM are different alltogether and the body plugs are pinned different as well as having a few wires they do not share.

^^Exactly. In 1998 it was still Analog Gauges, and the Gauge Signals were one per wire, 1999 and up they started using a little computer in the Gauges to break the signal down out of the Serial Data Wire, which sent like 4 signals.
