few suggestions,
swap out the truck pan for an ls1 pan
the 5.3 pan is about 2" lower than your k member.
i advise you go with ls1 intake and WP
another thing i discovered is the stock 3.8 mounts can be modified enough to use for the ls1, but either way i think i'll be going with GT mounts in my 96
