Buy the victor jr and MSD box seperate. If you buy the kit, it will come with the box sold by Edelbrock and that box will advance the timing way too much.

not sure who offers deals, but like said, get the vic jr intake, and the msd box, depending on your reluctor-the msd box is programable, the edel is not

I was thinking of selling mine actually. It has maybe 100 miles on it. I was going to sell, msd 6010 (with map sensor), holley primary and secondary adjustable metering blocks (no jets) in a vacuum secondary 750 (with 100s of extra parts, just rebuilt) its already tuned (for my cam though), the new style victor JR (my first one was machined wrong and the intake runners cracked this one is like 2 months old), my holley 97gph fuel pump (a couple years old but only run for 150 miles on my old engine and this new one).

??? the Victor Jr. Box is the one that U can tune yourself or with the chips it comes with, are u maybe thinking of the RPM intake with its box? I havent had any issues with mine yet

It has always been my understanding that the box Edelbrock ships with their manifolds, both RPM and the Victor Jr., although made by MSD , it cannot be programed with a laptop computer. It does come with the same 6 chips as the one sold by MSD. These can be used to "tune" it but all these chips have 35-36 degrees total advance with varying rates of advance. Many tuners think this is too much advance. On the other hand, the 6010 or 6012 box sold by MSD can be hooked up with the serial port to a computer and both the RPM table and the vacuum advance table can be changed to whatever you like. I would definately take these guys advice and buy the unit sold by MSD. I've got one and I love it. Ron

my box is the programmable one, the Vic jr. comes with the better box, the RPM one doesnt, it has the standard box. U can see it on my cardomain page, it came with a cute little CD and USB cable

i might buy your msd box and harness and the vic jr. But i already have a carb and dont need the fuel pump. This is hopefully going to be a higher HP application so i have other things in mind.

I already knew the 6010 was programmable and the edelbrock wasn't. Im going turbo so i kinda need the map sensor to pull timing.

I've decided to stick with the carb setup. It runs soooo good WOT i just gotta stop getting frustrated with the tinest inperfections in the tune. It is a pretty big can to try to tune to be driveable below 2000rpms with a single plane intake.

Ya Shawn, quit being a sissy. It's a big cam, carbed engine. Not a fuel injected 224 cammed car. HAHA.

How do you like that cam? Run good?

Haha its SCARY. I picked up a rock in my 26" slicks the first day i was trying to tune on them so ive had the crappy 28" jc penny tires on it that are from like 1982 lol. In 4th gear at 70mph itll break loose once the secondaries start opening. It's extremely fast.I cant wait til my 30" Et street radials get here to really tune it. It has alot of power above 3500rpm. I still havent gone above about 6500rpm though. I plan on spinning it to 7000rpm.

I have a MSD 6 LS that I can sell you shipped to your door for $250.00. Nothing wrong with it. Customer had it on is car and then had me swap everything back to F.I. because his wife complained of a fuel smell in the car. Has less than 1,000 miles on it. PM me for contact info if interested.
