Not to hijack but at gateway here in st. Louis there was a former basketball player that has a twin turbo big block in his xlr. I believe it was a pro mod. It was nasty.

I'll post pics of the build as it progresses. I'm just getting ready to pull the current engine.
Did you ever do this?

and the top still goes up and down...I would love to do an LS7 in my 04 XLR. I have been driving sticks for 42yrs. now and i love the automatic..Figure RPM or someone could beef it up...plus with an automatic u can boost it and also get great hole shots without breaking..I just bought mine last week and waiting for paperwork to put it on the road and already want to tear it apart I saw on this post 305 mt's on rear and 275'5 up front..that's awesome cause the XLR's look great but need that wider stance...Is there any rub and what kind of wheels and offset did u use...I hope one of u guys can gettirdun so u could post a sticky for others. That would be awesome.ps: I looked at the rear and it looks huge compared to my 06 CTS-V..Wonder if one could buy a C5 or C6 alum cradle with rear and tranny and automatic??

Im assuming it would fit with little trouble but i dont know how the trans would line up.

thoughts? comments? concerns?
Totally doable you would have to eliminate the tech modual from the gm hi speed Lan but and wire it up

The Trans is a 6l80e 6 speed auto
it's the cars native Trans.
The ecm is also native to the car and it is a first Gen e67......

And thanks for the compliment it was a lot of work and it's still not done......
