ls1 airbox on lt1 motor and hood?

ls1 airbox on lt1 motor and hood? So i went to buy an interior out of a parts car tonight and the guy threw in the entire ls1 style airbox assymbly for free. Heres my question. I know ill have to find some sort of piece to go from the round style intake to the oval... but other than that will the hood clearance be high enough? I have a stock firehawk hood. Its a stock lid with bellows, i figured if i can make it work ill put an aftermarket lid on it. Let me know what you think... i know its been done but im not sure what hood it was done with.

I've heard it's possible to mount the LS1 airbox on a LT1 T/A but not the Camaro. Probably the best thing to do is remove your radiator support and install the LS1 stuff for a trial fit.
By the way. I have the straight adaptor piece to connect the LT1 throttle body to the MAF. I beleive it was a OEM piece on the LT1 fire hawks

the stock lid fits perfect... never got far enough into it to try it with an aftermarket but i dont see why it wouldnt. One of those projects i started and decided to abandon. Funny someone found this thread today though cause i happend to dig all that stuff out today in hopes of throwing it on
